Visitor Visa

Most people travelling to New Zealand need to get either a visa or a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA).

If you are travelling on a passport from a visa waiver country or territory , you can visit New Zealand for a short time without applying for a visa first — instead, you get a visitor visa on arrival. You must get an NZeTA before you travel, unless you are exempt.

Remember, as we always say, there is no single checklist that fits all – so every application is different, and no two applications can be the same for visa purposes.

The best way to go about it is to discuss the case with an Immigration Advisor and understand the risks of your application. Some people tend to overlook the simplest of things with their assumption – and such oversight can lead to an application being refused. So even if you decide to apply by yourself, it is advisable to at least take a consultancy first.
