Dreams Immigration’s Privacy Policy applies to anyone who visits our Website or uses our Services. From time to time, Dreams Immigration may change this Privacy Policy and the changes shall reflect on our Website. If you don’t agree with the changes to the Privacy Policy then You may not be able to fully use Dreams Immigration’s Website and Services.

Privacy Act 2020

  • Principle 1, Principle 2, Principle 3 and Principle 4 govern the collection of personal information. This includes the reasons why personal information may be collected, where it may be collected from, and how it is collected.
  • Principle 5 governs the way personal information is stored. It is designed to protect personal information from unauthorised use or disclosure.
  • Principle 6 gives individuals the right to access information about themselves.
  • Principle 7 gives individuals the right to correct information about themselves.
  • Principle 8 and Principle 9, Principle 10 and Principle 11 place restrictions on how people and organisations can use or disclose personal information. These include ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date, and that it isn’t improperly disclosed.
  • Principle 12 governs how “unique identifiers” – such as IRD numbers, bank client numbers, driver’s licence and passport numbers – can be used.

What personal information do we collect?
In line with the privacy principles, we collect the information that is required to process your New Zealand visa application and provide associated services. Personal information is only collected if it is voluntarily submitted to us by a User. We also automatically collect basic computer information such as IP address, server information, browser type, and operating system.

Some examples of the types of data that may be collected includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal data: Such as, name, nationality, gender, details of your travel document (e.g. passport or ID), email address, telephone number and postal address, place & date of birth.
  • Sensitive Personal data: marital status, health and character related information.
  • Additional Applicants: Children names, parents name, partner name, employers’ details,
  • Communication data: Contact details such as email address, mobile phone number.

What we do with your personal information?
How we use it

We will only use the personal information you provide to us for the purposes of delivering the services you have requested (such as registering you with our company and with INZ, processing visa applications or processing your submission) or carrying out our lawful functions.

We may use your personal information to:

  • contact you about your request, query or registration
  • consider and respond to your enquiry
  • improve our website and the delivery of our services
  • assess your eligibility for visa application purposes
  • lodge visa applications on your behalf

When we share it

We do not generally share your personal information with third parties (other than third parties which are providing services to us). However, we may share your personal information in the following circumstances:

  • If necessary, to appropriately respond to your enquiry
  • We may make submissions available in response to requests under the Official Information Act, subject to the secrecy provisions in section 206 of the Privacy Act
  • We may share personal information with the Police or another government agency (like MBIE), if required by law (for example to assist with the investigation of a criminal offence), to report significant misconduct or breach of duty, or where there is a serious threat to health or safety.
  • If our staff are threatened or abused, we may refer this to the Police

We will only use and share personal information where necessary to carry out the functions for which we collected it, or if required by law.

Rights of access and correction of your personal information

Under the Privacy Act 2020, You have the right to request access to any Personal Information that Dreams Immigration holds about you and the right to request correction of the Personal Information that Dreams Immigration holds about you. If we cannot give you access to the Personal Information that you have requested, then we will let you know the legal reasons for not disclosing your Personal Information.

Dreams Immigration will correct Your Personal Information if it is necessary to ensure that Your Personal Information is accurate, up to date, complete and not misleading. If we decide that it is unnecessary to correct Your Personal Information, you have the right to request a statement of the correction sought but not made be attached to the information. If You are not happy the response to your request, then you have the right to complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner: www.privacy.org.nz/your-rights/how-to-complain/.

In short, here are a few key privacy messages to note:

  • We only collect personal information where this is necessary to carry out our functions,
  • We may collect personal information about you either directly from you or from other people or agencies, and we may generate personal information about you when we carry out our functions,
  • We store all our data (including your personal information) on a secure Microsoft Azure cloud platform and we use Microsoft Office 365 applications. We protect our data with all reasonable technical and process controls,
